About a 12-minute walk north of York Minster, this hotel comprises two refurbished and extended Victorian cottages overlooking the village green of Clifton. The hotel offers cozy, small bedrooms (all Non Smoking)with simple furnishings. Three rooms have four-poster beds. Each comes with a well-maintained bathroom with a shower stall or tub.

Some 400-year-old timbers rescued from the demolition of a medieval building in one of the city's historic streets (Micklegate) grace the restaurant and bar. Since York now has a wealth of good eating establishments and food outlets, the hotel is currently providing B&B facilities. We have an early evening bar for residents. All rooms are non smoking. There is a small but limited car park.

Directions
Directions to the hotel via the ring road. From the A64 get on to the A1237 follow signs to York North A19 - Thirsk. Until you see a sign for York City Centre - A19 - Rawcliffe/Clifton. Turn right at the roundabout. Carry straight through on this road until you come to a set of traffic lights at Clifton Green. Go straight through these lights and the hotel is to the right of the green.
