Directions
Whichever direction you approach York from, you will arrive at the outer ring road. Take the shortest circuit to the York-Hull a1079 junction. Take the exit sign posted York/Hull a1079 and drive along this road for 2.4miles until you come to the traffic lights at the old bar walls. At the lights, take the centre lane and follow the traffic through the bar walls on to Walmgate. 500 yards along Walmgate you will have to turn left on the one way system, you will then see the hotel opposite the church.

"Pleasant stay, the staff was very helpful. They gave us good directions on our departure, accommodated our luggage past check out time. We were also able to purchase stamps for our post cards and have them mailed by the staff saving us from visiting the post office. Room was spacious and the bathroom was one of the better ones we have come across on our travels. Eggs were a bit overdone, but otherwise dining room was pleasant and food was adequate. The dining room was also open later in the evening for a quick bite which we appreciated.Friendly staff."
